April Update

Thank you all very much for your fantastic support over the last few months. The feedback we have received has been tremendous and our daily ‘hits’ are constantly increasing. If we ever doubted if Jake’s Sensory World was needed, we now know for sure that it is something many, many families in the Sefton area want.

Here are some of the comments we have received:

  • Good luck with your venture... a facility of this nature in Sefton is long overdue.

  • Very useful for me........ my son is disabled and he would be with people the same as him, who would be more understanding and not judge him

  • I think this is a brilliant idea and know my little boy would love it... I wish you all the luck in getting it up and running. I will definitely use it if, or should I say when it opens. Good luck x

  • I believe that this is a fantastic resource for Sefton and it would definitely be used frequently!!

  • This is a fantastic idea... our son loves sensory play and would benefit greatly.

  • We think this is an excellent idea and one that should be supported and encourage all the way. No way near enough services like this for our children. GOOD LUCK

We have been very busy over the last few weeks. We are now registered as a Not For Profit Company at Companies House and this will enable us to apply for charity status. We have also been successful in obtaining a grant from MDF which will enable us to continue to pursue our dream.

The lottery application form is still being completed and we are looking to submit it in May. The lottery will not cover all our costs so we are looking for funds from other sources. We are in the process of identifying trusts and charities who can help us but if anyone can help, we would really appreciate their input... or money !!

We continue to look for suitable premises in the South Sefton area. Preferably 3-5000sqf on one level, with good parking and outdoor space. If anyone knows of anywhere suitable, get in touch.

Please keep viewing our site regularly and spreading the word. You can contact us through the website and if you leave your telephone number we will give you a call.

We really want to make Jake’s Sensory World a reality but we will continue to need your support and help along the way.
