We found out about the Lottery Playful Ideas Bid at the beginning of December 2007. With Christmas fast approaching, shopping lists still not completed and very excitable children around us, we some how managed, with the help of Ruth Livesey at Pelican and Sefton CVS to pull together our outline bid. Thankfully, this was submitted a couple of days before Christmas.

After a 3 week wait, with nails bitten to the bone and emotions up and down, we eventually received an email to confirm we had been successful with our outline bid..............and a huge application form to complete!!. Sheer joy was overtaken by panic!!!! We have since been told that many thousands of people applied for this grant with only 25% being as successful as us. Only a further 25% will eventually receive their grant, let's hope that figure includes us.

And that's were we are up to. The biggest application form we have ever seen is slowly but surely being completed. We hope to submit it in the next couple of months. In the meantime we continue to look for other sources of funding and will keep you posted here on our web site of our successes.
